Abstract:

Pressure injury is a common chronic wound, which is caused by the long-term application of pressureand/or shear forces to local tissue.During the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infection, because of the job and sicknessneeds, many medical staffs and patients continuously wear personal protective equipment such as N95 masks and goggles for along time, which caused varying degrees of head-face equipment-related pressure injuries.New dressing can effectively preventand treat pressure injuries. This article aims to demonstrate an approach for preventing and treating head-face equipment-related pressure injuries to medical staffs and patients by introducing the skills of using new dressing when wearing the head-faceequipment or other personal protective equipment.,in order to improve the comfort of medical staff and patients and reduce theprobability of pressure injury.
